Seeds are sown for seedlings at the end of February — beginning of March. Seedlings are transplanted to ground at the end of April — beginning of May, when frost risk has passed.
For early blooming, growing through seedlings is recommended. Direct sowing in ground is possible in May, but blooming will start later.
When sown in February-March, first flowers appear in June. In total, about 2-3 months are needed from sowing to blooming.
Remove spent flowers — this stimulates new blooms. Cut flowers for bouquets. Water during dry periods.
In our climate conditions it is grown as an annual and dies at the first frost. In warmer regions it may overwinter as a biennial.
