    Frequently asked questions(5)

In CIS countries, figs are planted in containers at the end of April — beginning of May, when frost risk has passed. In protected ground, planting can start earlier.

In summer, figs require frequent watering (2-4 times per week depending on temperature). In winter, watering is reduced. Soil should be moist but not waterlogged.

For growth — complex fertilizer, for fruiting — potassium-phosphorus. Feed every 10-14 days during growth and fruiting period.

In open ground in southern regions, cover with burlap or other material. In container, move to cool room (5-10°C) and reduce watering. In hard frost, protection is needed.

Harvest fruits at the end of August — September, when they become soft, sweet, and dark colored. Figs do not ripen after harvest.
