How to care
Plant seedlings in early spring (March-April) or fall (October-November). Prepare the planting hole 2 weeks ahead, 60×60×60 cm. Add 30 kg compost/manure and 200 g superphosphate to the bottom.
Abundant watering after planting; during the first month, water every 3-4 days in periods without rain.

Medovyy is naturally sweet, but for maximum sweetness, let berries fully ripen on the bush (amber-yellow color). Provide full sun (8+ hours daily) and regular watering. Feed with potassium and phosphorus in June-July to accumulate sugars.
Medovyy gooseberry is self-fertile and sets fruit without pollination by other varieties. However, planting other gooseberry varieties nearby will increase yield through cross-pollination.
Apply preventive sprays with colloidal sulfur (30 g/l) during the growing season: first in April, then every 2 weeks. If disease appears, treat with fungicide (Topaz, Skor). Ensure good air circulation by pruning and thinning the bush.
