Passiflora edulis 'Roland'
A cultivar of edible passion fruit (Passiflora edulis) with aromatic dark purple fruit. Across most of the CIS it is grown as a container vine (often 40–80 L pot), trellis ~2–2.5 m, summer outdoors/balcony or greenhouse, and frost-free cool bright winter storage (~10–18 °C). Near the Black Sea coast it may spend longer outdoors with frost protection.

How to care
- •Do not move outdoors until nights are reliably above +12 °C.
- •Pot must have large drainage holes — the vine cannot tolerate waterlogging even in winter.
- •In most of the CIS central zone, it will not overwinter outdoors as a perennial without protection.

In most cases no: shoots and roots freeze at sub-zero temperatures. Frost-free storage is required, or insulation with minimal pot heating.

It is a demanding plant for light and winter temperature. Best to start with a healthy nursery plant and be ready for grow lights and moving it twice a year.
