Seeds for seedlings are sown in April, seedlings are transplanted into the ground in late May — early June, when the soil warms to 15-16°C and frost danger passes. Direct seeding is also possible in May-June.
From planting seedlings to harvest takes 110-140 days depending on temperature conditions. Full ripening completes by September-October in the middle zone.
During vine growth, apply all-purpose fertilizer (NPK). At flowering and fruiting stage, use phosphorus and potassium fertilizers (potassium nitrate, superphosphate). Fertilize every 2-3 weeks.

Harvest when the skin is fully hardened (doesn't dent with a fingernail) and shine disappears, with 5-8 cm stem. Allow fruits 2-3 weeks to ripen in warmth. Store in a dry, cool place (10-15°C) for up to 5-7 months.
