Cracking is often caused by sharp soil moisture fluctuations — alternating between waterlogging and drought. Maintain consistent moderate moisture, mulch soil, and harvest fruits promptly.
Determinate varieties like 'Bochka Meda' need only moderate suckering — mainly removing lower leaves and obviously crowding side shoots. Full suckering is not necessary and may reduce yield.
